Playing with STEAMpreneurs at the Eco-Schools Student Festival at Technopolis
On April 3, 2026, CHALLEDU participated in the Eco-Schools Student Festival held at Technopolis City of Athens, where it presented and play-tested the innovative educational game developed within the STEAMpreneurs project.
As part of the activity, visitors had the opportunity to discover a board game designed for teenagers, which highlights the lives and professional journeys of real female role models in the STEAM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics). Through the game, participants are encouraged to draw inspiration from authentic stories of women who have excelled in their respective scientific and professional domains.
The game was successfully tested by students of various ages, ranging from sixth grade to lower and upper secondary school. The response was particularly positive, with participants showing strong interest even those who initially approached the activity with some hesitation. Notably, one student expressed her enthusiasm by asking whether she could obtain the game for herself.
To date, the first prototype game has been completed, based on the life of Cypriot neuroscientist and entrepreneur Antonias Machlouzari-Shalit. The project aims to develop at least two additional games that will showcase the professional journeys of female role models from Serbia and Greece.
CHALLEDU extends its sincere thanks to Dracon Rules Design Studio for the invitation to participate, as well as the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature for the excellent organization of the festival.
This experience provided an excellent opportunity for interaction with students and further strengthened the team’s commitment to creating educational tools that inspire and engage the next generation.
